How much does a website cost?
It depends what the site has to do, so we quote rather than price off a list. You get one fixed number before we start, and that is the number. If it is more than you want to spend we will say so and suggest a smaller version that still does the job.
How long does it take?
A small business site is usually two to four weeks from first email to going live, depending mostly on how quickly we get your content and photos from you. Anything with booking or payments takes longer, and we will tell you the realistic timeline up front.
Do I own it afterwards?
Yes, completely. The design, the code and the hosting are yours. We set the hosting up on an account in your name, so if you ever want to move it somewhere else or take it in-house, you can. There is no lock-in and no monthly bill.
What about hosting and the domain?
Hosting is included and costs you nothing — we use a free tier that is more than fast enough for a business site, with HTTPS included. You pay only for a domain, which is the name people type in, usually ten or twenty dollars a year, and we help you buy it.
I am not technical. Is that a problem?
No, it is the normal situation and it is the reason we exist. You get a plain-language preview to click through, and we explain every decision in words that make sense. If something is genuinely too complicated for what you need, we will tell you not to build it.
What do you need from me?
Your business name, what you actually do, anything you have already written or photographed, and an idea of what you want the site to achieve. That is genuinely it — we handle the rest and ask for whatever we are missing as we go.
